Hidden aspect: The high rate of fire and splitting effect on special makes it great for Zeus or Dionysus, or even Ares. Hera: Crush Shot on cast, Artemis on attack, and Heart Rend works just as well as with Zag aspect but even more damage. Athena on Special is good for defense, go for Ares if you struggle with groups of enemies, or Zeus if you are comfortable using the special from close up (works best with charged volley)Ĭhiron: Poseidon on Special + Sea Storm melts enemies, especially bosses. Aphrodite on attack will add Weak on enemies to trigger Heart Rend. Zag: The high critical rate makes investing into Artemis worthwhile. Zeus on something for Scintillating Feast is great. You can put Hangover on attack to proc Black Out but you don't need it. Hidden aspect: By far the best build here is Dionysus on cast and whatever boons come together for you so you can get Mirage Shot. Zeus: Same as above, but Dionysus on special, Aphrodite on attack, Curse of Vengeance, and Artemis on cast/call set you up for a nice Hangover build. Zeus on Special and Poseidon on attack will work fine. On attack, Dionysus or Zeus works well because of the charged attack hitting many times. Hidden aspect: Poseidon is nice on special. Hades: Poseidon on attack helps you keep enemies off you when you are doing a spin attack, and is generally good (especially with Sea Storm).
Either way, Poseidon on Special with Sea Storm is the way to go IMO.Īchilles: This is the ideal weapon to use for Hunting Blades (my favorite duo) or Crystal Beam (nearly as good), and all your boons should be used towards that end rather than focusing on the weapon. I also love using Serrated Point on Poseidon.
Zag: Try to pick up the special-boosting hammers (Chain Skewer or Exploding Launcher + Charged Skewer) to take advantage of its bonus. Hidden aspect: Artemis attack is also great because of this one's huge base damage. Pump 3+ homing bloodstones into an enemy then push them out with your special and watch Exit Wounds shred them. Poseidon: Poseidon works best with a cast build. You can take Dionysus on dash and shoot for Splitting Headache + Low Tolerance but it's not necessary. Nemesis: Artemis on attack, Aphrodite on Special, get Heart Rend, destroy everyone with massive crits. Otherwise, the optimal attack pattern is dash-dash-special so put a curse-dealing boon on each to reliably proc Privileged Status.
With the attack speed increase, Zagreus aspect is good with Zeus attack (especially if you get Flurry), but it also has fair base damage so it can be good with any +% attack boon especially if you luck into World Splitter. Sea Storm is good on everything, so if you're going Poseidon on your main source of damage it's worth it to grab Zeus on something you don't normally use like Call and try to roll it. Overall: You want Zeus or Dionysus on fast weak attacks, and a +% to damage boon on slow strong attacks. These are just my opinions, and they won't always apply for every play style or every run. Disclaimer: There is no wrong way to play Hades (as long as you make sure to pet Cerberus).
